(My ideal College life)
In my understanding, if we refer to an ideal college life as a formal western dinner, then a high GPA, that is, Grade Point Average, should be the main course, while an active part in activities, together with associations, means the appetizer. Some romances, of course, play the role as desserts. They are the 3 key elements for an ideal college life. Those, however, are not what college life is all about. As we all know, college is wildly different from middle school. It connects not only adolescence to adulthood, but also the ivory tower to the real society. Therefore, the ideal college life is that I become matured both physically and mentally, and that I obtain qualified academic knowledge and get well prepared for society at the same time. Under this circumstance, I never expect my college life to be too ideal, or you can call it too perfect. It is not realistic to make all things on my own way, with everyone liking me, winning the first prize all the time, and so on. Of course, I’d like to lead a carefree life. However, this does little good to my future. What really helps is hardships like failure, betrayal, and unjust treatment. Only after experiencing those can I know what society is like, and what life is like. To conclude my speech, I wanna say, some positive experiences are surely part of the ideal college life. But, I should not forget about the negative sides. They are not less necessary.

Nobody could have failed to notice the fact that university ranking has gained increasing popularity --- institutions home and abroad are always interested in it; newspapers and magazines are fond of carrying the news. Unfortunately, it has also given rise to some problems never thought of. Confronted with the dilemma, should we carry on the practice? When it comes to this question, peoples views vary from one to another. People who support ranking have their reasons. They are convinced that it can stimulate people, teachers and students alike, to work harder so that they can climb on the ladder or at least maintain their position. In this way, universities can produce more talents and knowledge demanded by our society. Also, supporters of university ranking maintain that it can act as a guide for employers when they decide where to find right employees.. But others may not agree. These people would argue that university ranking might force universities to care more about their position in the ranking but not about research that they are expected to do. For instance, it is often reported that some professors spend more time in bribing than in labs in order to have an edge in the fierce competition. Another good case in point is that some scholars even sacrifice their integrity to plagiarize under the pressure of publish or perish.

拿破侖說(shuō)過(guò)，不想當(dāng)將軍的士兵不是一個(gè)好士兵。我想我不僅要當(dāng)將軍，而且還要做一名出色的，成功的，能為大家，為班級(jí)謀利益的將軍，也就是班委會(huì)的元首——班長(zhǎng)。雖然我在高中學(xué)的是文科，但是我對(duì)數(shù)學(xué)有一種由衷的喜愛(ài)，所以我今天的競(jìng)選演說(shuō)也就以一個(gè)數(shù)學(xué)的形式來(lái)進(jìn)行。
首先，我給大家出一個(gè)證明題，已知有N(N大于2)位同學(xué)競(jìng)選本班的班長(zhǎng)，求證：七風(fēng)雪是你們最好的選擇。
論證一：七風(fēng)雪擁有豐富的工作經(jīng)驗(yàn)和團(tuán)隊(duì)知識(shí)，從初中，高中我一直擔(dān)任著：班長(zhǎng)，團(tuán)支書(shū)，勞動(dòng)委員，校團(tuán)委干部等統(tǒng)籌規(guī)劃的職務(wù)。 在六年的工作中，我開(kāi)闊了視野，同時(shí)也在為人處世方面積累了眾多的經(jīng)驗(yàn)和教訓(xùn)，在今后的工作中，它將作為一面鏡子見(jiàn)證著我的工作的成與敗，三年前我榮幸被選為校團(tuán)委的成員中，經(jīng)過(guò)我不斷的'努力，很快就成了校團(tuán)委書(shū)記的得利助手，為該校的入團(tuán)積極分子們上了一堂又一堂的團(tuán)課，學(xué)了一章又一章的團(tuán)章，雖然這已經(jīng)成為過(guò)去，但它卻留給我一筆永恒的財(cái)富—激情，無(wú)論做什么事情，無(wú)論事情有多難，我都會(huì)盡全力去完成，全心投入。即使有一天，我失敗了，我也決不后悔，因?yàn)槲冶M力了。
